Hands down, we’ve seen a heightened demand for brass products over the past year. You could think of it as a trend, but the history of brass is undeniably dense and multifaceted. It manifested in the form of a trumpet that changed the entire world of jazz starting in New Orleans, and the Romans were using it to mold vessels in first millennium BC.
Current designers are continually blowing up the brass game with smaller decorative items to furnishings and larger scale installation work. WAMCO is one of the few metal fabrication shops in Chicago working with brass, and we’re loving it!
We’ve highlighted some of our favorite found brass moments in this post, so you too can feel the buzz.
