TOP 5 CHICAGO AIRBNB'S

With the holiday weekend about to pop off, we've been perusing Airbnb to see who's stepping up to the design plate in the Chicago vacay rental market. We've highlighted some of our favorite apartment designs for simply oogling... or better yet, inspiring you to take that staycation you so desperately need. These homes are being concepted by designers like Hymay Creative and Bangtel (hospitality and design co.) who are vamping up Chicago apartments for Airbnb guests, or just your average renter-joe with a good design thumb and space to spare.

THE GOTH NEST

This almost-creepy Logan Square gem is a perfect / funky transformation of old church into hip new home. We love that it embraces it's old biblical quirks while incorporating a cheeky goth theme. The big beautiful bow truss style ceiling and plentiful red wood roofing doesn't hurt either.

RODEO BUNGALOW

Bangtel has been rockin' out Chicago apartments like it's nobody's business. Turning them into hipster havens has provided a more private experience than your trendy boutique hotel. This "El Motel Bangtel Dos" puts a handsome twist on a Santa Fe meets metro experience. It's filled with thoughtful decorative details and has a patio with an open invitation for all day spiked ice-tea and a good BBQ.

THE OLD AMERICAN

INDUSTRIAL CHIC SPA PAD

Airbnb or luxury hotel may you ask? You can rent a room for 2 in this residential bad boy for a measly $150 a night which includes access to a massive tub, sauna, and suave rooftop deck. The immersive brick and wood combo creates an industrial feel with a Japanese twist, a sleek getaway spot for ultimate relaxation.

POSH TOWNHOUSE

The black shag and yellow accents in this rentable haven are on point. You sadly can't rent the entire home, but a nights stay in this moody bedroom cap at $75 a night. Your time spent at this chic meets Martha Stewart home also include a cat named Angus, apparently black and well groomed... just like the dining chairs.
